With the ongoing concern about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we know you are taking precautions to keep your employees and members safe, while still providing the level of service they expect. Many consumers depend on the shared branching network for access to financial services and we hope you will consider the importance of this access in your plans.

Shared branching access through the drive thru is an optional service that many of our participating credit unions have opted out of. At this time, you can choose to make shared branching services available through your drive thrus on a temporary basis. It is not necessary to make drive thru service available at all your shared branch outlets; you can determine which locations will offer this service. If you choose to make this available, please notify Shared Cooperative Services at
support@myscservices.com and we will update the shared branch locator map accordingly.

CO-OP Shared Branch Operating Rules and Regulations remain in effect if you offer shared branching services through the drive thru. We have highlighted some of the most pertinent Shared Branching Operating Rules that impact the processing of transactions here. CO-OP is meeting with the Shared Branch Task Force on March 17 for input regarding CO-OP Shared Branch Operating Rules and Regulations (ORRs). We will communicate any changes to the ORRs following that meeting as quickly as possible.

Shared Branching is one of the best examples of credit unions’ cooperative spirit. As we face this crisis, let’s make sure that consumers won’t have to worry about how they will access their credit union accounts.
